Designed by I. M. Pei and the Luckman Partnership in 1986 as Cadillac Fairview’s flagship Los Angeles building, 6500 Wilshire later became home to Cedars-Sinai offices.

The project brought Cedars-Sinai’s Human Resources department together across the sixth and seventh floors. The approximately 41,000-square-foot workplace consolidated two previously separated HR divisions into a cohesive environment with offices, open work areas, meeting and training spaces, and shared common areas.

Working closely with the Senior Associate, Project Manager and interior designer, the role centered on the architectural development of the design vision, developing the architectural package, coordinating with consultants, and carrying the project through permitting and into construction.

A significant focus was the stair connecting the sixth and seventh floors, developed collaboratively with the project manager and structural engineer. The connection was central to the project, bringing two previously separated HR teams together and allowing them to share the workplace as one department.
